The leader of the Islamic militant group Hamas vowed to continue fighting Israel yesterday, as hundreds of thousands of flag-waving Gazans turned out to celebrate the organisation's 25th anniversary. Khaled Meshaal's visit to the Palestinian territory – a
Typical...Arabs get handed a can of whoop ass by Israel, and then, they declare it a victory. It's not in Hamas' best interest to make peace with Israel, as then they'd actually have to run a real government, and being terrorists is the only thing they're capable of is terrorizing others(Christians, gays, moderates, political opponents and women in the brief periods they weren't lobbing rockets into residential regions of Israel). They'd also lose a lot of money from their sponsors because they weren't fighting a proxy war. Peace with Israel would mean the death of Hamas
I was listening to Fox news on XM radio when I went to get gas this morning and they had the Israeli Ambassador on. Apparently Israel is quite concerned about the stockpile of chemical weapons in Syria. They figure if the Assad regime falls these weapons will fall into the hands of groups like Hamas and Hezbollah and like the Ambassador said, that would be a game changer.
So if assholes like this clown continue to ratched up the rhetoric and if the US interferes in the Syrian civil war which very well might mean an Islamist Regime gaining power, don't be suprised if we see Israel conduct a first strike against Syria and their well dispersed chemical weapons storage facilities.
The funny thing is that the Ambassador actually admitted that Israel had what they call watchers all over Syria keeping them informed of what's happening inside the country so it's not like they'd be going in blind.
