The Toronto Argonauts are the 100th Grey Cup Champions. Ricky Ray threw two touchdowns and Chad Kackert piled up 195 yards of offence as the Argonauts defeated the Calgary Stampeders 35-22 in front of their home crowd in Toronto.
Yeah baby! We rule! The Kack attack could not be stopped. The death Ray could not be stopped. The flyin' Hawaiian could not be stopped. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooos!!!!!!!!!
I was there. The 100th Grey Cup was an awesome event all around, great parties all day long, great fans from all over the country (and a small contingent from Baltimore), and most important, a great football game!!! It was my very first Grey Cup, and what a way to get started!!
Great to se Toronto win 100 at home, the PR and hype was great, very little if any negativity from Torontonians, which has been the case in the past, lets hope this is the start of a revival in TO (probably not but lets hope).
I do feel bad for Kevin Glenn, I wanted this to be a redemption story for him but after Calgarys lack of performance and his poor stats, this could be the beginning of the end of a hard-luck career.

My wife was in Toronto late last week and stayed at the same hotel as the Calgary team. She has no idea about football never mind who anyone is. In fact she had no idea the Grey Cup was on. While waiting for an elevator with a gentleman, my wife asked about the significance of a crest on his jacket. He said that's my team logo and my wife then asked what team was that? She said my husband probably knows you. They chatted during the ride down where my wife was meeting a couple friends. When they arrived at the floor my wife introduced him to her friends who are equally clueless about sports......it was Kevin Glenn. He posed for a few pictures with them and invited them down to where the rest of the team was so they could get more pictures if they liked. They declined because they were going to a big craft show. Apparently he was VERY nice to the "old" ladies as my wife puts it. When they were leaving he yelled over to them: Remember I'm #15 and I'm the Quarterback and laughed. He made a great impression...........my wife actually didn't mind watching the game.
