Wouldn't it be nice if the minister responsible for VAC was actually a Vet?

Wouldn't it be nice if the minister responsible for finance was actually an economist? It would be nice if all ministries were headed by experts in that particular field. But ministries are headed by politicians, so the minister responsible for whatever is a buffoon. C'est la vie.

We had a Minister of National Defence not to long ago who was ex military and that didn't help much. Maybe if we had a minister who simply CARED about vets.....that might do.

That's the key - I'd be happy if they merely had some interest in the portfolio they were appointed to...

Too many of them seem more interested in their resume/career and fundraising instead of their portfolios.
