Organizers of a petition aimed at forcing a vote on plans for a new football stadium in Regina say they did not reach the numbers required, but will present their results to city hall anyway.

    "The signature count of 10,000 is a significant number and indicates to Regina?s new city council that there is a considerable level of dissatisfaction with the stadium proposal."


    10,000 signaurtes indicate there's even a far greater number of people who have a considerable level of satisfaction with the stadium proposal or don't care.

    Florence Stratton, a petition collector, said 90 days was a short time frame to gather 20,000 signatures.


    That's 222 signatures a day. That's not that hard for a well-organized group with an agenda people care about.
