Damn Regina the story is already in the CKA News.....I put it there 2 hours ago....get with the program will you... What I'd like to know is what FIFA had to say to the referee Christiana Pedersen who made such a freaking mess of the game, knowing FIFA, they probably ignored the whole thing.....

Well, as much as I love the women's soccer team, she should have kept it zipped up. Every team that ever lost thought it was the ref's fault, and every team that ever won thought the ref had nothing to do with it. No matter how bad it hurts, you suck it up, keep it classy, keep it zipped and move on.

Personally I blame the coach. There was a similar situation in the 94 Gold Medal womens hockey between Canada and the US. For some reason the IOC (porbably the only sports org in the wordl actually more corrupt than FIFA) had an American ref. At one point the power plays were something like 9-1 in favour of the Americans wiht a couple of 5 on 3s. It was brutal to watch. But the coach of the women--I think she was an off-duty Montreal cop if I recall--never let it get to her. Instead of going ballistic, she stayed calm, kept her team calm and Canada prevailed.

That said, they really do have to do something about teh IOC and FIFA. They are just so incredibly inept and corrupt, both of them.

That;s not always true. There was some demonstrable shit refereeing in that game. especially the call that led to the US penalty kick. In all my years of watching football I've never seen that call given. You're right, what Sinclair and Tancredi said to the ref was uncalled for, but I don't fault them one bit.

The refs called for it the moment they decided to make such idiotic calls. If you don't want criticism then don't do something that so obviously demands criticism.
