A group of Canadians challenging the election win of seven Conservative MPs has scored a victory along the road to getting the main case heard in Federal Court with the MPs' motions for extra security deposits being denied.
The court has ruled in favour of the challengers denying a motion by the Conservative Party to force them to put down hundreds of thousands of dollars as a security deposit. ... "Having heard the submissions of the parties on costs, and finding that these motions have unnecessarily delayed and encumbered these proceedings, it is further ordered that the costs of these motions shall be paid by the respondent MPs to the applicants, in any event of the cause," she wrote.
It will be a very short show as the evidence is based on people trying to remember phone calls almost a year after the fact, a biased pollster claiming the calls were wide spread, most of the complaints were done through a "form " email from a left wing site support by American dollars.
It will be short and humorous
It also opens the doors for a plaque of useless court challenges in the future.
Things are not going the Cons way. DelMastro is now in the background. That is why Ted Optiz is running scared. Why the robo call inquiry is taking so long. Elections Canada recognizes the fact that the Cons will go to court over every little thing and appeal, appeal appeal just to delay proceedings until the next election call. Therefore EC wants to everything in a tidy box with ribbons before they proceed in the courts.
Let the rest of us tackle real issues and priorities in this Country while you guys focus on those important things like court challenges that'll go nowhere and the fight to legalize weed.
And tell me what are the real issues and priorities? Overpaying for a lemon of an aircraft. The F35. Opening Western grain sales so that the large international marketers will drive prices down and bring an end the familly farm in favour of industrial farming. Introduction and passing of Omnibus Budget Bills with 3/4% of the Bill incidental to that budget? Introduction of Eavesdropping Bills to monitor the public accessing the net? An increasing budget deficit all the while patting themselves the with annoucements of reductions. The continues animosity between the Government and its watchdogs. I'll stop now.

It is nice to dream, however.
True that. This 'challenge' will eventually fizzle out and be forgotten. To single out one party for 'robocalls' when evidence shows that more than one party doing it is another example of the pot calling the kettle black.
This is nothing more than a left-wing sideshow that is past it's best before date.

The integrity of our elections is the only thing that gives legitimacy to their outcome. It's a very real issue, because it's the only thing giving "you" (CPC?) the authority to tackle anything.

No, the people of Canada gave the CPC the authority to tackle anything, and a majority to do so, free of interference and meddling.

Is that why you spend so much time in the marijuana threads?

Robocalls are not illegal. Robocalling to direct voters to polling stations that don't exist is illegal. Harassing the opponents supporters is illegal. The pot can call the kettle a liar and a cheat if it is one, black and white.

You have a curiously ideal of democracy if you actually believe that.

Meanwhile, the NDP plots election fraud with a willing Elections Canada for 2015.
Well the precedent's been set if nothing is done about the frauds committed during the last election.
