In an interview with NPR, Simon Cho said he “panicked” after persistent pressure from his coach to do the sabotage but also acknowledged his own responsibility
The coach should be banned from the sport and the kid needs to be banned, too. The coach's abuse is unforgivable and the kid's inability to resist the dictates of Korean culture when he skates under the US flag makes him unfit to skate for the USA.
If that costs the US some skating victories then so be it.

Messing with someone else's equipment is a major dick move. Its one thing to cut corners (like taking performance enhancing substances) to improve your own performance. Messing with someone elses equipment rises to a whole new level of douchbaggery IMO. Someone could have been seriously injured. This would be like a NASCAR team loosening the lugnuts on another teams car. I say lifetime bans for both these clowns.
Cho's ass.
And then twist it on the way out.
High morals for this one, he should be banned.
The coach as well.
