    Third World countries are a terrible place to try and run a gold mine. Enviro/socialist groups are trying to slime you in the national and international media and the locals are either gainfully employeed with you (and more or less happy) or trying to bring down the operation.

    Wednesday's gathering was intended to voice discontent over the mine, which has been the source of a series of toxic spills in past years.

    Canadians don't want the Chinese to come here and operate mining operations because they fear they'll do some of the stuff our own companies are doing in other countries. 8O
