Sheriff: Man stole doctor's ID, saw 500 patients

A man stole a physician's identity and pretended to be a doctor for a year in South Carolina, and now investigators are combing through medical records to see whether he harmed any of the hundreds of patients he treated, authorities said.

Must be related to the cook at the Old Base Hospital in Naden who found a smock and stethoscope and proceeded to give new female recurits their physicals.

The guy wouldn't have got caught except one girl told her mom that the "doctor" did a gynecology exam on her with no gloves and when mom complained about the quality of military doctors it came to light that the good Doctor.............. wasn't.
