wow, these guys should have been armed period. No reason not to, but I guess that feeling may come from a similar one held by a select few members on this site that feels nobody needs guns, and who don't believe in self defense. This is what you get for that kind of view, a dead victim.

Read about this a few days ago. I couldn't believe they didn't have some sort of defensive weapon, even against a dog! Yet they give guns to the border clerks.

As long as they are well-trained in their use, they can have whatever weapons are deemed necessary for their job. If that someday means they need M-16s, then so be it. Fortunately, we are a long way from that in Canada.

The problem I have is with Joe Sixpack wanting to carry a pistol to Wal-Mart, Superstore or Cineplex.

I dunno Boots, those asians at superstore can get pretty aggresive if you try to get at the corn on the cob while they're pawing though it. A glock could come in handy.

I just use my greater body size to push them out of the way - same as on the Skytrain when they try their sneak by on the side maneuver.

WTF is a peace officer? Here we say "peace, officer," just as the cops are about to bust us on the head. Or is that the drunken Albertan way of saying police officer? ("Look out, here comes the peash ocifer, hide the booze") (Sorry).

That's why it's better to buy corn elsewhere.

Everything aside, I don't think they have very much on the babas who used to frequent $1.44 days at Woolco!

A peace officer is similar to a security guard (in nature), but they are usually employed by the local government - city or province.

They don't carry weapons, but can hand out traffic citations and other minor offences.

The intresting thing is the Canadian Criminal Code references "Peace Officer" more than Police Officer.

Shit, arming our town bylaw/peace officer means the pistol barrel will be dragging in the mud, she's that short.

The truck she has looks unoccupied...lol

Interesting. You are actually positing that a person opposed to gun control is also opposed to self defence?

A fascinating postulation, and I suspect a dumb one as well.

If the dead victim had had a gun, what kind of view would that have been gotten from?

What I find ironic is that Peace Officers are not allowed to carry a gun but they wear bullet proof vests. 8O

And just in time for the corn season....

The sound is bad, but this technique works well, I can even do it better than this guy now.
