An Abbotsford gang associate caught with an AK-47 in the trunk of his car has had four convictions for possessing firearms overturned by the B.C. Court of Appeal.

    you break the rules with lazy police work and this is what you get. I am no fan of gangs and their criminal activities but once you turn a blind eye to charter violations it's a very slippery slope.

    Ummmm buddy gave the police permission to search his car.
    The officer saw scissors and rolling papers in the vehicle and asked Dhillon “if there was anything inside his vehicle that he ‘needed to worry’ about and ‘if he had any ... drugs or weapons in the car’.”

    Dhillon said no and told the officer he could search it.

    So the cops searched his car with his permission and THAT'S a Charter violation? Bull-fucking-shit!
