Consumer advocates say the Competition Bureau should investigate why Canadians are paying thousands of dollars more than Americans for vehicles manufactured here in Canada.
Criminal. I'd love to see a NAFTA suit brought against the car manufacturers.
It?s one thing to have different pricing schemes across the border due to regional markets, it?s another to refuse to sell to someone.
The last car I bought ws made in St. Thomas, ON. It cost $38k out the door in Seattle, WA, but $51k in Vancouver. Exchange, transport and taxes didn't justify the difference.
That's fine, we complain that Canadians pay less for drugs that are made in the USA than Americans do. It goes both ways and unless you want Deep Integration it will continue.

Ay Caramba Bart I didn't realize we pay less for drugs?..But seriously I can see the reasoning behind Canadian goods costing less in America it is after all a way bigger market!
