If the nuns don't like the rules of the Catholic Church they are always free to leave it.

Does that apply to US citizens unhappy with the laws in their country?

The Pope should read The Canturbury Tales especially The Nuns Priests Tales. That would upset his morning coffee.

Yep. I'm expecting you folks to see liberal Democrat refugees arriving from Wisconsin any time now.

Woooo-hooooo! More orders and instructions on how to behave sexually in a God-approved manner from the same guys who operate an international pedophile criminal conspiracy and coverup scheme! Can it ever get any better than this for free comedy?

Of all the political and religious institutions that have ever existed on this earth surely the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church has to be regarded as one of the most innately and irredeemably evil of the lot.

I really wish I could disagree with you but you're spot on with this.

I just want it made clear that I certainly don't believe that the rank-and-file Catholics are evil. I'm not coming at this from some bigotted WASP perspective. If anything Catholics themselves have been the greatest victims of the Vatican and the last fifteen hundred years of it's rotten politics. Most Catholics I've met seem to be kind of awesome people. Why they still have anything at all to do with that church after all the things we've all come to know about the nature and behaviours of the Catholic clergy I have no idea.

Just like Muslims are still Muslims and believe in Allah, regardless of what their "leaders" and "extremist Muslim-brothers" do or say.

Let's not go crazy with the logic here.
