amazing, they can't even get the original release to operate properly and now they want more money.

    LOL

And unlike Activision, they will release their 'premium pack' on the PC as opposed to the XBox only.

As an avid player of BF3, the game is pretty damn good.

There isn't a game out there that works 100% without needing patches to overcome glitches; especially games this complex.

What issues are you having with the game? What platform?

I'll happily shell out the cash for BF Premium.

The game is fun, that's why I'm angry. I've never, in the 20 something years I've been playing games had this much trouble getting a game to run properly. It started right from the install, I kept getting the error that said I must run in administrator mode to install. I've found out through searching this is a very common problem. I only solved it by accident. Once I began playing it, despite my system meeting the minimum requirements it freezes up after about 30 minutes of playing. I payed $60 for this game. This has really soured me to buying anything from EA in the future. I've read game horror stories before but it pisses me off that I paid money and still have to do my own tech support to get this game to operate.

Oddly, I got the BF3 Premium for last night. It was a 2GB+ automatic download. I was playing on a Canadian server that's pending the updates so I haven't seen the add-on stuff just yet.

I'm only buying a game once. If a company sells me something then tells me 6 months down the road that I need to pay more to play..........I'm out.

So brand new video card today. Game froze up after 30 minutes of play. I want a refund of my $60 bucks. This is rediculous.

You don't have to pay more.

If you want to play a whole new set of maps, you can opt to pay the $15 to do so, otherwise, the game operates just as it normally does.

None of these add-ons are mandatory, the game works just fine without.

I don't think it's free. From all the talk on the BF3 Forums, everyone who downloaded the last upgrade got the stuff put on their computers but the only way you're gonna be able to use it is to activate it by sending the lying skanks at EA $50.00.

Just more bullshit from the company that "nailed it".
