Because you and various lefty bobble heads seem to be under the impression that Muslim is a race.
Think about it. That would be like a "Christian" on trial complaining that there weren't any Christians on the jury. Is Christian a race?
Besides, he can claim there weren't any of his "peers" on the jury but he can't know that for sure. I've seen MORE than a few westerners that converted to Islam.
And like I said earlier I have no issues with calling a spade a spade but idiots like Marin here cannot separate their hatred of Islam and Muslims with a gang of criminals who happen to be Muslims or that any of their actions were carried out in the name of any nation or religion and have to give it that twist when it has nothing to do with it. Also another question comes to mind is where were the parents of these girls, not trying to take anything away from the horrendous nature of the crime or blaming the victim but it also boggles the mind that such young girls keep such company and none of the parents are aware of their wareabouts and activities or even suspicious ? I would also call this a parenting fail as well. I know people who have young children living in a different country and know about their offsprings where abouts.

Attorney's can challenge the jury pool during empanelling if it's not representative of the community. If the defense lawyer had a problem with the people summoned to the jury selection process, he could have made his challenge then.

There's been lots of gnashing of teeth about the lack of aboriginals on juries, especially in Ontario. So these guys may well win their case, and if not, we may still see coming to pass a requirement that aboriginals be on a jury trying aboriginals. Or hell, the way our justice system is going, a totally separate system for aboriginals, since we already have aboriginal special sentencing provisions.
