"(T)he feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians." ?Pat Robertson

"I know this is painful for the ladies to hear, but if you get married, you have accepted the headship of a man, your husband. Christ is the head of the household and the husband is the head of the wife, and that's the way it is, period." ?Pat Robertson

?It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-biased media and the homosexuals who want to destroy all Christians - Pat Robertson

?The flooding of New Orleans is a sign that God is tired of seeing his creation mocked by the Mardi Gras and its perverted display of debauchery and exposed breasts.? - Pat Robertson

Hey, Curt, enjoy your new pot advocate.

Pat Robertson is painful to listen to man or a woman, By the way Gunnair you missed his Robertson's assertion the 9-11 was caused by Lesbians and Pro-Choice folks. If I had to listen to him on a regular basis some drug would be needed.

This should probably be on a different thread but I would argue that Pat Robertson may have done more to promote atheism than Richard Dawkings.

It's a good sign when even the right wing religious whacko's see that the war on drugs is a complete failure.

"I just think it's shocking how many of these young people wind up in prison and they get turned into hardcore criminals because they had a possession of a very small amount of a controlled substance," Robertson said on his show March 1. "The whole thing is crazy. We've said, 'Well, we're conservatives, we're tough on crime.' That's baloney."

    100% correct.

All these groups and individuals coming forward to condemn prohibition, and absolutely nobody coming to defend the practice. It won't be long.

Well I hope it won't be long either but shitheads like Robertson don't bring credibility to the argument.

I guess if you're really lucky, Fred Phelps will give pot a thumbs up as well.

    In local news...

RCMP target marijuana grow-ops, organized crime in five-week sweep of province
"We've seized enough marijuana essentially to produce one million joints for the street," RCMP Assistant Commissioner Bill Robinson said.
    ...
"Presently cannabis is the jet fuel for organized crime – it means money," said Staff Sgt. Brand Handoga of the RCMP Drug Section.

Jet fuel that we could take away very easily with regulation.

"In the last couple of years we've had 47 residential fires that have been attributed to marijuana grow-ops. Of those, 37 people have been injured and six of those were fire-fighters," said Mike Purtill of the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner. "There is a real threat," he added.

This doesn't need to happen either. It's prohibition that makes it profitable to destroy houses and lives to produce a plant.

Pat Robertson has an audience, and if those people hear him advocating common sense then it's a very good thing.

Pat Robertson is always good for a guote on a Slow Media Day. He sounds like he would make a good Taliban

There is not question in my mind that Pot should be legalized in Canada. The government controls the sale of liquor, cigarettes and gambling already. All are very profitable revenue streams. The revenue from the sales of pot could go to support heath care.

I have never smoked pot or a cigarette ever in my life. I don't have a problem with someone who does. I like beer some people don't.
