Silence Gun: Strange weapon of the future immediately quiets you

The gun operates based on the concept of delayed auditory feedback. An attached microphone picks up the sound being made by the target and plays it back 0.2 seconds later. The effect is incredibly confusing to the human brain, making it all but impossible

This could save marriages on a mass scale. Completely reverse the ever increasing divorce rate.

Anyone tried using that on me then some surgeon somewhere is going to be the first to try an rectal extraction a square object from someone's round hole. I honestly don't see any legtitimate use for this device and imagine it would be a commercial flop.

I can see these things being used in repressive countries and also by criminals to silence their victims. Frankly, if you install it into a prison cell you could probably use it to torture or pacify prison inmates and perhaps even use it as a method of punishment or reprisal.

On an aside, it'd be fun to test it out on my neighbor's barking dog. 8)

I don't know... I'm thinking if I rendered my wife mute, she may just beat me to get her point across.

I'm thinking the effect of this device can be completely negated by two words.

    Ear plugs.

I wonder if anyone using the device could be charged with assault?
