Why would anyone even think that would be a fun thing to do?

    Idiot.

    You mean the driver, right?

I wonder if alcohol might have been involved?

I would say a lot of people find a lot of things fun that others find irresponsible. Bungy-jumping, jumping out of a perfectly fine plane, riding a motorcycle, skiing in an avalanche area out of bounds...

Nothing wrong with any of those things except skiing where there is high avalanche hazard at that time. They all have their safety protocols to reduce hazard, and life just ain't hazard free. We all do things that aren't 100 percent safe.

Gotta love these healthy kids who are so willing to help others by donating their organs.

The Traffic Recon guys call motorbikes 'mobile organ donation units'.

I do know what you mean though. Being a rider myself at one time, I saw something that just made me shake my head. I was rolling down a class B hiway in Essex County when this idiot on a cafe racer approached the intersection I was approaching. The road he was on was gravel and he was wearing nothing but a helmet, shorts and sandals with no socks. 8O

My favorite story is being in a cafe in Colorado and hearing two Harley boys talk about how you'd have to be insane to not wear leathers, that you could get seriously hurt if you came off your bike. Then they rode off - no helmets in sight. Guess those things mess up your hair or something.

My mother best friend was a triage nurse in a hospital. She was fairly tough but something happened that rattled her.

A motor cycle accident happened where two teen age boys were hurt(they weren't drunk). They were celebrating.
The more serious one had his neck broken with very severe spinal cord injuries it was obvious walk again and the question became would he have the use of his arms.

When they cut his jacket off a letter fell out of the pocket which indicated why they were celebrating: the fellow with the broken neck was just selected for the incoming class for the US Naval Academy.

This kind of thing isn't funny or cute. When people get hurt its forever.

This happened close to my house....surprising. We've never seen anything like this in the area.
