Why should they be different than the baggage handlers, which the Hell's Angels are deep into?

Wow, people are actually stupid enough to put cash in their baggage/luggage?? Must be a bunch'a newbs.
Not that it condones the actions of the screeners but man, if you leave your car on the street with the doors open and the keys in it, you shouldn't be surprised to find it missing.
My cash is always in the same place and if anyone wants to try and sneak it from me, they're gonna be risking an impromptu game of pocket pool.

Told you there were crooks. The screeners stole all the large bills from my wallet when they inspected all the trays they make you empty your pockets into.
The one with the wand held me up, the ones behind the counter all started gibbering like monkeys (not one spoke English well enough to get hired by Macdonalds) as a distraction.
My previous trip through Vancouver, the baggage handlers opened my bag, stole the camera and returned the empty camera case to the bag.
WestJet compensated me, incidents were filed with the police. But WestJet shouldn't have to compensate for these assholes. The Airport Authority should.

Anymore I try to fly charter when I can and that avoids all of this horsesh*t.

So we should just accept people to touch and take stuff that is not theirs?

You still have to empty your pockets and put your purse, wallet or whatever through the scanner.

You could, of course, elect to keep your cash on your person. Not the coins, of course, but the paper money.
