There were a number of violent early-morning incidents in the U.S. as shoppers came out in the millions on Black Friday to take advantage of massive pre-Christmas discounts.
"xerxes" said Why am I not surprised in the least that virtually all of this insanity happened at Wal-Marts?
I use to work in general retail at Wal-Mart. I always hated working on Black Friday for a number of reasons. The biggest one was how disgusted I was at watching normally good people push and shove other good people some of them elderly some of them handicapped to grab some stupid piece of (many time garbage) merchandise. The whole "Annual Event" that they like to call is is based on the worst human greed and it always made one sick to watch it.
This year, I'm amused by these antics. We have groups all over NA protesting corporate greed and here we have people assulting each other in a bid to give those greedy corporations their money.

Did you see any Occupy people involved in this madness, as you implied earlier? This is why just preaching voluntary simplicity won't cut it.

Both are part of the 99%. Perhaps the OWS movement needs to get the rank and file in line.
Jesus, Andy, even you can see the paradox of the OWS and the 99% held up side by side with the black Friday mob of the 99% looking to fulfill their own greed - even violently.
More likely, though I suspect you've dodge and weave here.

Disgusting.
Some of the Twitter comments have been pretty good:
"More violence in one day of shopping than all of the #occupy events. And people wonder what is wrong with this country."
"Michele Bachmann said that the shot heard round the world was fired at the Walmart in Concord New Hampshire."
"Love how conservatives talk about Middle East or African "savages" over religious violence when we can't even go shopping incident free."
Fucking LOL.
