"I can't stand him any more," said Mr Sarkozy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "He's a liar."
Mr Obama replied: "You're sick of him. I have to deal with him every day!"
The comments were made on Thursday, yet the French reporters who were waiting in the conference hall gathered in a huddle and agreed not to publish what they had heard.
Bwaaaa haaa haaaa.. Poor Israel. Nobody wants to be their friend anymore.
There are plenty of Israelis who don't like Netanyahu, and his policies, but I guess you ignored that fact because it might interfere with your simplistic(par for the Curtman Course) perception that all Israelis are evil.

Not true. When Tzipi Livni won the election on a platform including withdrawal from the West Bank ending settlement expansion, it showed Israelis are not all evil. When the coalition of losers (as Harper calls it) took over instead, Israel moved away from peace. And its friends are leaving.
"BartSimpson" said Obama hates on Israel-by-proxy. Not a clever thing to do when he's expecting all those rich, Jewish Democrats in Hollywood to support him.
I must admit, I was waiting for this from you the second I heard a similar sentiment in the news.
I'm rather surprised you wouldn't focus your ire on the thought that American citizens will make political decisiosn based upon US policy against a country of recent or distant origin.
I'm willing to bet that Americans of Persian background laid it out that they won't vote for a Republican candidate because of US policy in Iraq/Iran/Afghanistan, you'd be rather up in arms and shouting "traitors" from the rooftops.
Waiting eagerly for a justification of this curious paradox.

Just gonna +1 this post. Since when do the foreign policy decisions related to such a small and relatively insignificant foreign nation affect the needs of a domestic population. Ultimately the role of the leader of any state should be to commit actions which most benefit his home state, not a foreign one.

How gracious of you to concede that not all Israelis are evil. You admit to one.

Either way, Sarkozy is right.
You know you're a liar when a calls you a liar. Unless, of course, Sarkozy was lying!
I wouldn't call Israel insignificant, but the the tail definitely does wag the dog in this case.
Either way, Sarkozy is right.
Yes indeed Sarkozy is right and the tail here does wag the dog.
90% of all politicians are lairs (it seems to be part of the job description) so he isn't saying anything we don't know already.

I'm sure there's more than one of these guys.
