Time to get rid of carriers and just have community mailboxes.

Wasn't Canada Post pushing for that in the first place?

If they get rid of my mail box for a community box, I will cease using Canada Post at all.

We've never had the mail delivered to our door. It's always been community mailboxes as long as I can remember.

I was surprised when I found out that some people actually got mail delivered to their doorstep. 8O

The posties had a damn solid right to complain if the dog actually had one of the carriers pinned up against a wall. Everyone's got a right to do their job without getting attacked by an uncontrolled animal (especially a sheppy with all those potentially lethal guard/attack dog instincts in it's brain, 'cause those ones don't fuck around when they get angry). Banning the whole street after the dog's allegedly been properly contained is taking it way too far though. Sounds to me like there's some sort of issue in the background here that neither side wants to have made public.

Carrier obviously has the right to be able to do his job safely. What that has to do with the rest of the street not getting their mail.............. only makes a person want to root for the dog.

Which makes it an outstanding dog to have in the sticks when you're nearest neighbour is about a kilometer away and a police response is over 30 minutes or more! 8)

Community mailboxes are fine too. They should make those tougher to tip over on their face, I've seen them left like that for weeks.

The ones in Ontario for the most part are bolted to the ground.

Mine is 4 houses away, the kids love to run down to the box with me a few times a week. I'd rather not have have the carrier walking up to my house anyways.

I have 2 of them and they have yet to go after anyone. Of course they're busy doing other things like testing pillows. 8O

Not in my area. Every once in a while we have to put them upright again when the winds pick up.

This is the male, he's 7. We also have his sister from another litter who is 10. They are like the Ying and the Yang. But compliment each other very well.
Lots of hair though, and that's why we have cleaning ladies once a week.:)
