Moammar Kadafi secretly salted away more than $200 billion in bank accounts, real estate and corporate investments before he was killed, about $30,000 for every Libyan citizen, according to senior Libyan officials.
He could have just run off a few months ago and enjoyed a real nice early retirement.
He could be on his island that he bought in Venezuela surrounded himself with wine, women and song and whined about the those nasty revolutionaries and NATO for the rest of his unnatural life. Instead he gets shot in the head.
Then again now he gets his 72 virgins, rivers on honey and lots of wine (or so they think) so it may end up being almost the same thing according to folklore ..er I mean the Koran.
There should be some oversight, but what if some of it were to help pay back the cost of liberation, and/or go towards rebuilding the infrastructure rather than have us pay for it. Just a thought. Otherwise, maybe it would be prudent to wait until there is a gov't in place.

Good idea. It wasn't cheap helping out the rebels overthrow this jerk some reimbursement doesn't seem to be too out of line.
Before turning the rest over to the new Libyan government I would liek to see what the new government actually is. I would hate to turn it over to another tyrant.

He will be replaced by some other corrupt tyrant and his gang of thugs. They just won't be so overt.
That is generally how it works unfortunately.
