It's been almost 200 years since the War of 1812 broke out, but the smoke hasn't cleared yet in a fight over whether present-day Canadian military regiments should be awarded official "battle honours" recognizing their links to Canadian defence units that

    They would have prove definite links to the current units other wise they'll want to try to claim links to Battle Honours of units like the Imperial Black Watch which had been in existence for approximately 400 years. I'm all for showing our heritage, but it has to been done carefully, or it lessons the historical value.
