More secure passports coming next year

MONTREAL — Canada is finally set to join the rest of the G8 in issuing electronically secure passports but security experts warn the new documents are not a panacea for evolving threats.

"Our current passport is very safe," Monique Boivin said. "But with the new one it will be even more so."

So safe, in fact, everyone is using them.

Wonder how much they will cost..

safe but these will be safer. is that sort of like the term whiter than white that they use in laundry commercials? I'm getting a new passport in a couple of months, so I'll let you know.
