Several Canadian cities are marking the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, including the tiny Newfoundland community that sheltered and offered kindness to stranded travellers the day of the tragedy.
I watched the CBC ten minute tribute to what Gander did and it was watchable. Usually I watch CBC with the mute on. The town of 7,000 had 7,000 anxious passengers land on it and it put them up. They have a monument to the event, a section of girder from the Trade Center. It's appropriate.
