Posters of the east Vancouver native dressed in his Boston Bruins gold and black were reportedly defaced outside a cultural community centre. His eyes were poked out. His face scribbled on.
Maybe karma does exhist and it's these "Vancouver fans" who are really the reason that the Canucks will never win Lord Stanley's Cup and not the Cam Neely curse.
This is the sort of attitude in Vancouver these days that makes me glad that the Bruins won. Seriously, there's a big chunk of the Canucks Nation that should really go get their heads examined if this is the sort of ignorant resentment that they keep letting fester.

Sorry for being stupid here but what is the Cam Neely curse?

On June 05 1986 the Vancouver Canucks traded Cam Neely to the Boston Bruins along with a draft pick (1st choice, 3rd overall in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, used to take Glen Wesley) to the Boston Bruins for Barry Pederson. Canucks head coach Tom Watt was not impressed with Neely's defense (Neely was 20 at this time), and that was what made him tradeable
Cam Neely became one of the best power forwards in the NHL while Pedersons career continued to dwindle along with Vancouvers fortunes. The curse part came from the media who, in trying to find an logical reason why Vancouver couldn't win the Stanley Cup in the following years kept referring back to the terrible one sided trade Vancouver made on that day as a curse.
So, after watching this years Stanley Cup, and the lack of luck, effort or ability Vancouver displayed against the Cam Neely led Bruins, is it any wonder that people in Vancouver still think the curse is still in place.

What a bunch of asswipes.
