A construction worker in West Vancouver made an explosive discovery while excavating a site this week when he dug up a live artillery shell dating back to the early 20th century

    While it is possible, this UXO was not a ticking bomb. I think it posed more of a chemical hazard, than a explosive one.

    Forgotton remnant of an ammo cache from the bad old days. Check the location on the map. There would have been a few gun emplacements in the area.

    I find it funny people act all surprised when they find old army shit like this in downtown Vancouver. The whole Peninsula has a network of tunnels from the old Depot and weapons Cache's to the gun emplacements, the garrison, etc.
