Now he'll get to see the reverse order: 1 wife to 10 inmates!

Yeah, but not for polygamy. He was sentenced to life because he raped a 12 and 14 year old.

*edit: ESL moment before I had coffee.

As long as he is rotting in jail it doesn't really matter. He can preach him Fundamentalist Mormon stuff to his fellow prisoners for life plus 20 years.

Well, I think it does. Polygamy is illegal, but he is not tried for that. That's not right. That means anybody can still do what he did without the risk of going to jail for it, as long as they keep their paws off of minors...

I guess I'm wondering who will take his place at running the cult?

I'm glad he got convicted of rape. That's the issue in this case. Polygamy is just a red herring. Who cares how many people a person chooses to "marry". Bigamy is already illegal, you can't legally marry more than one person. But if a group of people want to get together, have some ceremony and in their minds be married, that's their business. The state just needs to be clear this marriage has no legal standing. Same with Muslims. If they want to "marry' more than one woman, let them. But that doesn't mean they can sponsor more than one "wife" into the country, or collect pensions or what have you.

There are no shortage of nuts on this planet (or his church) that would take his place.

I'm told child rapists aren't too popular in the general prison population. If that is true he may not even make it to Life plus 20 years.

With out researching it only going off memory, most of the members have left the few still there do have a new leader, minister, what ever they call the guy. They also have supposedly gotten more in line with the rest of the later day saints on no multi marriages. Again this is just off my memory of junk that was put out there a long time ago. Also I think their site was put up for sell but not positive on that.
