    Read that the Taliban claimed it was due to an RPG - which is good news in a bad news day. Means it was a lucky shot instead of the more dangerous possibility of them gaining anti-aircraft missiles.

    You're actually right because if it was an AAM it would have changed the whole scenario of how to carry out combat missions which the Pentagon probably already had a plan to deal with..
