They’re suing Greyhound, claiming they can’t eat or work since being aboard the same bus as Vince Li, but the bus company not only denies liability, it even challenges them to prove they were negatively affected by what went on that day.
Everyone would be troubled by it. I can't imagine what people who were there and have witnessed it must go through. That said, there is only one responsible, and that is Vince Li. So ladies, pull up your big girl panties, get therapy, and find a way to live with it. You still can. Tim McLean can't anymore.
How exactly are the Fed and the RCMP responsible for their "condition"?
I can understand that what they witnessed may very well have been traumatizing, but the only person responsible for that trauma, is Li.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the RCMP or the Fed offer the same couselling services that the RCMP get for witnessing/being involved in similar types of traumatic events?
The Fed and RCMP did let Lee go previously. So there is an argument they didn't meet their duty of care, tho personally I think it's a slim one. But what's Greyhound supposed to do, install the same kind of security we now have at airports.

I think that's what some are expecting.
I don't think these 'victims' are entitled to any kind of compensation. They were in a very shitty situation, but that does not mean someone else has to open their wallet to fix you.
If the "victims" are going that far to sue, why not take it to a place where they might get a postive result sue Greyhound's parent in Cincinnati - First America in Ohio court. Get the media on board, have a field day.

No, but it would be interesting if the lawyers could pull it off. Maybe use something like Conrad Black's conviction on obstruction (removing records in a foreign jurisdiction) as precedent to try the suit. Hey I know I'm mixing criminal with tort but with the dogs breakfast of American jurisprudence some crackerjack might find a way. Yes, I have my tinfoil hat on.
These women need to get on a Greyhound bus with a therapist. Sort whatever fake issues they have. Nothing but a bunch of gold diggers looking for money. I wonder with all these people that attempt to abuse the system for some quick buck ever get things effected for people who actually have a legit claim to sue somebody.
I once saw a TCC bus hit a bird that flew into. I wonder if I should sue TCC for tramatic damages. I can't eat, I can't sleep. The images of that poor bird keep flashingbacking in my dreams. DANNY!, DANNY!.

Are you serious?
