This definately pisses a person off and I speak from experience. But, after some reflection I realise that there is a very pertinant point they forgot to bring up.

You can through exercise and diet get a fat assed NDHQ type fit enough to pass the universality of service requirements, whereas, in some cases you can't or will never be able to get an injured veteran into good enough shape again to pass the same test.

So it's really simple to solve this dilema. Get the fat assed NDHQ types into shape ala the late 80's or change the universality of service conditions so some injured veterans may be better accommadated.
