Don't know if this was posted before, but, if it wasn't I thought it makes interesting reading.

According to todays paper this assclown got suspended for 3 months for stuff like this. He also took money from elderly patients and claimed he treated 149 patients in one day.

Is it any wonder with doctors like him our health care system is going down the financial crapper.

    (edited for spelling)

Here's the story I was looking for.

Critics wonder why doctor not charged with fraud for borrowing money, overbilling

    http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/can ... story.html

    Here's an excerpt

EDMONTON — Critics are questioning why a Calgary doctor who borrowed money from elderly patients and claimed to see as many as 185 patients a day has not been charged with fraud.

Dr. John van Olm, 60, was suspended for three months by the College of Physicians and Surgeons last month for unprofessional conduct that included several billings for seeing more than 149 patients in a day on 12 occasions and billing for some patients who were deceased.

The only question I have is, how dare anyone question the College of Physicians and Surgeons in this case. They severly punished this poor man and isn't it quite apparent that justice has been served. (sarcasm off)

Apparently it's not a crime to borrow money and not return it and file outrageously false billing statements to health Canada for profit if your a doctor.

Once again I picked the wrong line of work.

This is what happens when people with vested interests are involved in disciplinary hearings.

    Same with lawyers.

    Same with the police.

The list is long, but if law is too old or made by idiot it makes possible everything. The problem is in law, not in people. For sure you won't allow pedophile to take care about your kid, the same is here. There must be law that protects your kid and you from some guys.
