    I often get the feeling that most NATO allies are only in it for the fun, prestige and protection, but when "shit gets real", very few will pony up and actually commit to the alliance.

    Eh, three out of five. I know they mention Poland, but I'm not sure how Western Poland's air force is. Is their equipment compatible with Western munitions, and computer technology?

    Slovakia still has all Russian stuff, but Poland should have
    at least some F-16s by now, they are much bigger.

    Is it any suprise that Germany's in the mix. Just take a look at Afghanistan and you'll see who's a hacker and who's not so gates is just stating the obvious.
