It seems to be just something else ripped off from the Ruskies

China is proud of the fact that they don't know how to build an aircraft carrier?

I don't know about "ripped off", the Russians will sell just about anything someone will pay for. Even to their own detriment.

This particular ship came from the Ukraine, after the Soviet breakup they ended up with more military gear than they could ever hope to utilize.

They'll probably crash the thing into something before getting anywhere near open waters to try fighter excercises.

Not really. If you have adequate layers of defence, CCGs, DDGs, FFGs, and SSNs, then it's not quite so likely. China is a little thin on some of these.

That many craft being operated by the Chinese is such close(relatively speaking)proximity means traffic jams and collisions...they can't help it.

The U.S. has been making and using Carriers since WW2, with that whole Carrier race between nations to make the best carrier. I am not really seeing China really competing with that. Either with the carrier itself, the tech aboard it and the training of it's crew.

China has been working to be a blue water navy for years now, this is just another step in their eyes.

It would be a grave error to just dismiss China. They have the $, the Population, and increasingly the Technology. It's only a matter of time.
