It appears that the end is not near, despite an apocalyptic prophecy from an American preacher who stated that the Rapture would occur on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Last I heard in a report, the idiot who predicted this crap claimed there was a "Mathematical Miscalculation" to cover his failed prediction.

Funny how there's always some excuse when an end of the world prediction turns out to be wrong.

People have been predicting the end of the world for centuries and they always turn out to be false.... why people still take these goof balls seriously is beyond me.

We are still here, NUTS, That means I'll have to work today (whine, Complain).

This clown (er, I mean Biblical Scholar) claims that this only a minor Doomsday that the Ultimate Doomsday will be October 21.

From what I understand he estimated the date of "the great flood", knowing "that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years", multiply 7 by 1000. Bingo-bango, 7000 years the world ends. The bible guarantees it.

Sort interesting that Jericho, a famous biblical city dates back to about 9 000 BCE. Sort of throws the rest of their dates out of whack doesn't it??

This is why basing your Life on Faith is Fail. Anyone can be 100% Certain about Anything, when Faith is involved. Being Convinced is Meaningless.

Why? The Bible exactly predicted these kinds of clowns would come crawling out of the woodwork, which is kind of ironic when you think about it. These so-called Biblical scholars got all worked up over some math and forgot that the message about false prophets and charlatans was about

It's hard to take someone serious who's biggest argument for EVERYTHING is "fail".

My wife, who is sure it is going to happen, said that it is written in the bible that no one will know when the rapture is coming. That's why she will always believe because there will always be doubt and she will never believe in false prophets who predict the end. Not the Mayans, not Nostradamus and especially not Harold!

What’s wrong with having faith? Where’s the harm in being religious? Why are atheists so mean as to question and criticize “deeply held religious beliefs”? Things like this:

A woman slit her daughters’ throats before slitting her own early Friday evening, claiming that “the Tribulation” was going to occur and she wanted to prevent them from suffering through it, officials said.

Lyn Benedetto, 47, reportedly told her daughters to lie on a bed and proceeded to take a knife to their throats.
    …..
The victims were treated at Antelope Valley Hospital for moderate though non life-threatening injuries and released to custody of Department of Children’s Services.

    Faith + intelligence = good
    Faith + stupid = bad
