?This decision was not taken lightly and it was reached after consultations with other participating countries,? said Major-General Yvan Blondin, Commander of 1 Canadian Air Division and the Canadian NORAD Region. ?Our allies agreed it would be difficult to support the exercise to the necessary level, while at the same time conducting operations abroad.?

You mean we can't run a training exercise at home and a mere seven jet deployment at the same time?

    Something isn't right here.

Your own quote says the decision was made in consultation with other participating nations. I doubt it was simply because of our deployment.

Well Lybia isn't a huge jump in op tempo for either the Brits or the French.

Not my bag, but I am curious to see if this is because of our deployment, our allies, or a combination of both.

I recognize PR speak when I read it.
