No. They're not Pick a sports bar — any sports bar on this side of the Rocky Mountains on a game night in the Stanley Cup playoffs - and the majority of the fans are cheering against Vancouver.
How Canadian a city is Vancouver to start with?" he suggested. "It never snows. It never freezes. The city is not known about any real Canadian thing.
"OK, the Olympics brought Vancouver closer to the rest of Canada, but as a city I find Vancouver the least Canadian city of all the places I've been.
"It's not just a climate thing but attitude. This is more Northern California than Canada. Nothing bad about that, but I think outsiders see it as yuppie, expensive and shallow. It's just different. There are more Starbucks than Tim Hortons, more sushi than chicken noodle.
I have a timmies right outside my door. What colour is the sky on his planet?
Actually, most of the harsher comments are from a swede, not the Albertan.
And just for the record, I'll mock the 'nucks all year long, but if they're the only canadian team left I'll cheer for em. But I'll still laugh at if they do screw it up.
Why are people so obsessed about what team is Canada's team? If they were the only Canadian team, then yes... or maybe for now, they can have the title until the season's over.
Ya well we dont need anymore dejected fans jumping on our bandwagon...I really coulndt careless about the rest of Canada....they hate us anyway....please dont cheer when we win the cup....it will be ours just like the Gold Medal was truelly vancouvers and no one elses...go Eff youselves

I love the idea of the Leafs playing in the Yukon....at least they may have a chance LMFAO!!!! Hey now, if the Leaf team that plays next season is the same Leaf team that played after the All Star break, we might actually make the playoffs
Although in all seriousness, Toronto and Montreal really are Canada's hockey teams. Even in the US they have non-Canadian fans. But for me it's always been T.O. first, Vancouver second. This season I started cheering for the Habs too, but they'll never supplant Vancouver as my number 2 team.

As they are the last only Canadian team still alive, they ARE Canada's team.
Edmonton's just jealous they don't have a team.
But don't worry Terry, even at their apex, the Oilers weren't Canada's team either.

Canada's team or not, they most certainly are BC's team. Where is yours Alberta???? Huh? Snark, snark.
Their spending their time polishing up their Stanley Cups ( ok Calgary has their one polished, and are out golfing ) so where's yours?

If that's the criteria for being Canada's team, then congratulations to the Club de hockey Canadien with their 24 Cups who must be Canada's real team.

They're Vancouver's team and the fan's team.
