The Winnipeg Jets and Quebec Nordiques still face obstacles — especially the low number of major corporations — before an NHL franchise can prosper in either city, the Conference Board of Canada says.

    It is bad enough we have Bettman as the comissioner, but now we have our own organizationswsaying hockey wont work in Canada, why cant we get a freakin break from the negativity!!!

    On the other hand Phoenix is a glowing example of Corprate America at work.....

    True hockey fans enjoy the game @ whatever level-get out to see a minor league contest.

    So true.

    I don't know why they're crying here to get the Nordiques back when they've got a very good team in the Ramparts, a Junion hockey team that draws about 8000 spectators per game. Finished 3rd place this year but lost the 7th game of the semi-finals to the #1 team. :D
