NDP candidate to become youngest-ever MP at 19

The bird is nice eye candy, the guy is a protest vote.

Not to take anything away from this young lad's victory, but you KNOW the people in his riding are fed up with the usual shit choices when they elect a neophyte in more than one sense of the word.

I wish him all the luck though and may he remain unjaded and uncorrupted.

I know young people have ability, but I wouldn't trust a 19 year-old to cut my lawn, let alone represent me in government.

I dunno. The 60 year paunchy lawyer doesn't seem to be doing such a great job either. I watched a news clip about a 20 year old NDP candidate who won last night. Cute, wide eyed, and I bet clueless (also had a low end job) I'd be willing to try the newbie vice the career politician. I don't think they'll do a shittier job and who knows, we might be pleasently surprised. That won't be something we get from the likes of Rae and other career politicians.

The girl had the other defintion of "party" in mind when the NDP asked her to represent them.

since most newly elected NDP MPs from Quebec are young, experienceless and were mostly students, community workers and even a guy on welfare, since they are all good leftists and they will now earn over 150 000$/year, they should stick to their ideas, live with 40 000$ and give the rest to build social homes and things like that. Then I will believe in them.
