It's not the first time there has been a rash of suspected dog poisonings in Mirror. Last year, several domestic dogs and a skunk died of suspected strychnine poisoning.

"This time it seems to be the same thing," Buxcey said. "Our officers are working very hard at finding a suspect. This is horrible and certainly cowardly. These animals are innocent."

Get this guy before he moves on to people!

When I was living in Cambridge, there was a group home in of one the more upper class neighbourhoods. The neighbours wanted it gone. One wanted it gone so badly, he started poisoning the wildlife hoping the home's residents would get the blame.

The really sad part? The fucker was a retired police officer!!

Someone did that sort of thing to my dog. Poor guy was blind, fortunately temporarily; his sight returned in a day. We had taken him at specialist for eye conditions; he said the only explanation was some sort of poison. We never did find out who was responsible even though suspicions exist. That was about 8 years ago. The old boy is still kicking around as goofy as ever. He turns 13 this summer. We cannot be more pleased for him.

That Albertan needs a stern punishment.

    This is intolerable behaviour.

    My dog knows (and nose).
