I don't know about crushed them, almost got away from the Nucks, I still say Bobby-Lou isn't a playoff goalie.

The way I see it, the Canucks dominated Games 5 and 6, and if wasn't for Crawford, the Hawks would have been out of it. I don't know if Bobby Lou is a playoff goalie or not. All I know is that he and the rest of the Canucks saved Canucks fans from years of nightmares and ignominy.

And that makes me very, very, very happy.

The Canucks showed what the were made of and played what I think was the best game of the series, if not the whole season last night. The only thing that kept Chicago in the game was the near perfect goal tending of Corey Crawford and in my opinion was robbed by being picked as the third star of the game, he should have gotten the #1 spot there. No matter how things turned out, the Canucks made it through the first round and now have a whole days rest before meeting the Nashville Predators on Thursday to start round 2 of the playoffs.

They played that well in Game 6 too. But in Game 7 they didn't have to play against Chicago, the referees and their own goalies.

Whatever Gillis got fined for pointing out the biased reffing was money well spent. The reffs were still crap, but not as crap as the rest of the series.

Well you get the best refs for Game 7. The refs always have difficulty in the first round of the playoffs. This year it's been doubly hard with the whole concussion thing. Referees try to "let 'em play" but wind up in the hot seat if somjeone lands a cheap head shot.

I do think Game 6 was poorly reffed, and the Hawks got a way with too much, but other than that, it was fine.

I respect any ref that is trying to stop these head shots anyway. They have got to stop, period. I'm not putting my son in a rep league if he's going to have three concussions under his belt before he's out of high school.

Personally, I'd like to see the hitting after the whistle stop too. The plays over, line up. Anything other than incidental contact after a whistle gets you 2. My two cents.
