TALUKAN, Afghanistan — The Taliban compound deep in Afghanistan's Panjwaii district where Cpl. Steve Martin died is now rubble. Only the mosque remains standing. Canadian soldiers took care of the rest.

    All things being equal it would have been nice if the compound was reduced to rubble before the corporal was killed. I would rather see them bleed than a Canadian Corporal.
