To Canadian kids, Kinder Surprise eggs are a tasty chocolate treat with a fun little toy inside. But to Americans, they're contraband.

It is good that the US Food and Drug administration is protect our children from those evil foreign communist/muslim/anybody we don't Like Kinder Easter Eggs.

Janet Napolitano needs to keep her eye on that dangerous Canadian Border just in case some terrorist attempts to sneak through and harms our children's bodily fluids with these Eggs, just as soon as she gets her head out of her girl friends ass.

I imagine it's only a matter of time before the rule is that every airline passenger is handcuffed and shackled, for their own safety of course. Because we obviously can't be trusted to eat or drink by ourselves without putting other people in danger.

If you voluntarily turn in your Kinder egg when entering the USA, you will receive a complementary Browning T-Bolt .22LR Target/Varminter... perfect for Easter Bunny hunting. PDT_Armataz_01_34

Funny, that's kind of what popped into my mind when I read that at first. A country where a 7 year old can pack a .22 and go hunting and no one thinks anything of it, but give him a piece of chocolate with a toy in it and you're endangering his life. Too bizarre.

Kinds reminds me of the mental retardation down there in the mid-80s when Lawn Darts were banned cuz 3 people were accidentally killed by errant lawn darts one year.

Sorry kids, no more lawn darts, someone might get hurt or killed, so here, have this nice repeating Winchester instead.

It reminds me of the stupid law we have here in BC that you have to pre-pay your gas at the pump, because one moron jumped in front of a car and got killed while a gas thief tried to flee.

The kid wasn't a moron. What no one ever mentions is that almost every gas station employee was (is) threatened by the boss that gas&runs would come out of their paycheck.
Fill a pickup and take off, that's more than the kid makes on a shift.
Politicians here may be sleazy slime balls, but at least if they think kids are too stupid not to eat the plastic toys they're still smart enough to play with real guns.

Fine, you're not a moron when $50 is worth your life. Maybe, instead of making paying in advance law, they should have made "taking it out of your employees pay cheque" against the law.
So, it is a stupid law. If we make everything that could kill people law, we better make a law against living all together, because you know, it kills you.

I'm pretty sure it is against the law, Brenda. :?
