Vancouver Canucks forward Raffi Torres will have no further discipline assessed following his hit on Blackhawks' defenceman Brent Seabrook during Game 3 of their series on Sunday night.
Clean north/south hit. The only infraction was the correctly called interference penalty. Seabrook's head may have been down but I have grave doubts that the rule in place is meant to make you invulnerable just because you're not paying attention. He wasn't blindsided and his head wasn't being specifically targeted. A defenceman behind the net with the puck in his vicinity better be aware of his surroundings and who's on the ice.
Wow, I'm shocked. He gets 4 games for that hit on Eberle, but nothing for this? Makes no sense. I don't want him to be Suspended, but come on, how about some consistency here?

I thought he deserved it for the hit on Eberle, not for this one.
The commentators I was watching remarked that ten years ago that Torres' hit would have been considered a good legitimate hit. It's only the concussion controversy that has made the league penalize them now
Yeeee-haw. Now as a nice cap to the sweep, how about a nice career-ender to Toews in Game 4, Torres. ha ha ha
Whatever Raffi - karma is a bitch and when you get seriously hurt or beat to a pulp, I'll be one of the people cheering.
I'll be cheering when Torres is hoisting the cup.

At the rate he's going, he'l be suspended (or injured) and won't be able to.

Partisan hockey fan...
For the record, there's no such thing as "two minutes for spearing". Spearing is a double minor or match penalty.

Raffi Torres is being repressed and you're pointing out details!
Huh. He must be thinking he can go for the Retard-Of-The-Year Award with Matt Cooke out of circulation for three more games.
Now, now, let's not forget Avery, who for some odd reason (my guess is the huge paycheck and easy women) hasn't made an ass of himself lately.
