Oh,well, BC, kiss goodbye any hope of getting rid of the Liberals. The Dippers have managed to once more snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Dix has baggage, and is an extremist - BC won't follow him. Unless something really juice comes out about Clarke and BC rail (and it hasn't so far), she's in like Flint.

And I was hoping for Farnworth. But we'll see how he does I guess.

I don't really know anything about Farnsworth and Horgan except what I read in the papers recently. I was hoping for Farnsworth because they said he was like Mike Harcourt. Harcourt was a decent guy, we could do with another one like him.

Exactly. Farnwoth isn't as far to the left as Dix which would have made him more palatable to us fickle BC voters.

how crazy how non news this is compared to the BC Liberal leadership race. Even if their wasn't a federal election it wasn't nearly as interesting.

Dix will spell big trouble for the NDP, trying to balance the environut and special interest nuts against the interests of labour. .

An NDP that's not scared of the left? What an innovative idea...

Being a hard leftie with little likelihood of creating policy because he is such a hard leftie means the NDP will accomplish... what exactly?

BC Conservatives might have been dealt a promising hand with a hard leftie being elected to the NDP. The BC Con centre right platform will stand better against the Liberal baggage train than a very expensive far left spend like hell platform.

I was already cheering for John Cummins. There are probably all sorts of things I don't agree with him with (grammar?) but he seems like an upstanding guy who wasn't afraid to go against his own party and follow his beliefs. I like his stand on the fisheries. Depending how things shake out, I could even see voting for the BC Cons with him at the head.

I won't be able to vote anything but Liberal. It's that Christy Clark smile. Must....resist!...Falling...into the light....

I liked Farnworth better, but the NDP lost my vote with the Carole James / "Wrath of Kwan" debacle. Still might vote NDP because my Liberal MLA got busted for drunk driving.

The only way I'd vote Liberal is if someone kills me, put the pencil in my hand and makes the x for me.

There was a tiny link on the left side of this morning's Sun. Didn't even make the featured headlines.

Guess that's a BC version of liberal media bias...
