    And the PC crowd quiver.

    From Cameron's speech;

"Communities had been affected by incomers unable to speak English and unwilling to integrate, he argued, which had "created a kind of discomfort and disjointedness in some neighbourhoods".

He added: "This has been the experience for many people in our country - and I believe it is untruthful and unfair not to speak about it and address it."

I thought I would never see a UK politician actually state the obvious on this subject.

    The end is nigh.

Not sure if I agree, mainly because he doesn't detail any plan here, but I appreciate this kind of honesty from a politician.

I believe I read that the Labor Party has admitted to "not paying attention" to immigration. It increased it but basically didn't watch the numbers.

My impression is the UK is still substantially poor, has a proletariat. It's not like it's a worker paradise.

Britain has a huge, permanent, white underclass that is on welfare for generations. It's neighbors across the sea, with similar generous welfare systems don't have that. Don't know why.

Well, the welfare state came out of WW2 in the UK. It has expanded to such a level that the 'white underclass' realised that they could get way more cash and benefits on welfare than working.

Cameron is right, the overly generous welfare state is a huge part of the equation. Cut welfare and focus on the people really in need. The underclass will then have to get a job.

I come from a large government housing estate (council estate). I had a choice to stay and become a part of the underclass or join the military.

I chose to serve and not just take.

    Speaking is one thing.
Doing is another, but the people may support it now.

Best of luck to him, if he succeeds we need to bring him over for a pint and a chat.

OK, but it doesn't explain why Germany and France with similar systems don't have nearly the same problem, nor the Scandinavian countries with even more generous systems. We're not talking about immigrants here, but the locals. It seems to be some sort of cultural thing. Tho I wonder if Britain had much greater inflow of Commonwealth immigrants who took away the lower paying jobs from the whites?

Well, if you think about it from the viewpoint of the Navi - Avatar was about the negative impacts of illegal immigrants.

Canada has the system that these countries want to adopt. Education based immigration. And immigration based on a skillset of points. And of course foreign student graduates are automatically given a PR if they find work after graduation.

Most Americans wish they had educated immigrants as opposed to violent gangs and maids from down south.

I just had to get that out there before we decent into a debate about Canadian immigration because our system on paper already globally clamoured for.

    Now...onto Mr Cameron.

He's got a point. But there's only one group that causes most of the problems. The rest keep their heads down and find work.

Its not fair to beat the drums immigrant phobia before putting into context the realities and intricacies of the situation.
