"Some mad and criminal prime ministers and presidents of Europe are leading a crusade against an Arab Muslim nation," he told a news conference in Tripoli. "Sounds familiar? It's a crime against humanity."

Reason number 1 to not be there.

Some will actually believe this BS.

A minimum of -20 IQ points to anyone who believes anything that comes from the officials in Ghaddafi's so-called 'government'.

Our intervention is limited to airstrikes to keep a genuine lunatic from massacring part of his own civilian population with his air power and armoured forces. As such I see nothing at all that we have to feel guilty about at all in this particular endeavour. Your completely inappropriate use of the word "imperialists" in this context is also about thirty-five years obsolete, and means even less today than it did back then, and back then it didn't mean sweet fuck all either. No one with any knowledge of the background history of Libya and especially the history of Ghaddafi himself would find this even remotely believable.

If they're monarchists they may be good allies for Canada.

    Don't bet on it.

Another thing most people dont know about Libya, because we get taught only
'big country, evil Gadaffi', and move on.

There are 192 different recognized groups in Libya, tribes, ethnic minorities and whatever.

Getting any of them to agree on anything more complicated than the time of day will be
impossible, and none have any idea what democracy really is.

This will end up in a very bad place.
