I had an eye accident when I was a kid and almost lost m left eye. Things worked out well for me and I hope they do the same for Manny as well.

That was a tough break getting that puck in the face. The Canucks and medical staff are being quite tight lipped about his prognosis, sounds like his chances are touch and go to even save the eye, let alone will he ever play hockey again. Best of luck Manny!!!

    :(

Good luck indeed. We're gonna miss him in the Playoffs as he's a big contributor to the Team.

    Get well soon.

Canucks' Malhotra has 2nd eye surgery

Vancouver Canucks forward Manny Malhotra has undergone a second surgery on his injured left eye, the team said Tuesday.

The veteran centre, who took a puck in the face March 16 against the Colorado Avalanche, underwent the surgical procedure in New York City.

Malhotra's agent was not immediately available for comment Tuesday and the Canucks issued a brief statement saying: "Progress updates will be made available at the appropriate time. No further comment is planned at this time."

The 30-year-old Malhotra signed a three-year, $7.5-million US contract as a free agent last summer and was second in the NHL with a 61.7 per cent faceoff win percentage when he was injured. He had 11 goals and 30 points in 72 games.

Best wishes Manny, you will be missed.
