Tammy Murray was a beaten and then stabbed to death in Burnaby, B.C. in 2007, and her killer was sentenced to five years for manslaughter.

What a crock of shit, 5 years for murder, even if the courts decide to call it manslaughter, then they put the piece of shit into minimum security.....welcome to the Canadian judicial system...

A system just begging for people to start vengeance killings after the killer of their daughter walks out with 5 years.

If the guy is so dangerous that they have to inform and warn the family,
why is he being moved to minimum security ?

    Unbelievable.

It just goes on and on. We just had a Phillipino guy sentenced to 10 years for killing his wife, but with 2 for 1 credit he gets out in 2/1 years. The judge opined the this guy was so enraged, he couldn't have formed the intent to kill - the I'm to angry to mean to kill defense. How much you want a bet he doesn't get deported when he's released, since he has kids here who pleaded for his release.

Going back, we had the drunk, native woman to stabbed her partner to death in a jealous rage. Because she was taking alcohol counselling and was native, she got 3 years probation. No jail time at all.

Then the woman in Vanderhoof who stabbed her lover in the groin in a jealous rage and watched him bleed out before she called for help. She got 2 years house arrest because she was likely to not re-offend.

Welcome to Bizzarro world, where people selling pot get more time than these people.

Second kill and minimum security? That's strange. A minimum security prison is usually for women who did crime in a first time if the crime was easy or middle danger. + Man, woman who did crime because of negligence. I suspect they gave bribe :)

it is not necessary to give bribe in Canadian prison.
